Betting rules

Every bet is accepted and settled under the Terms of service. Fixed-odds means fixed: you get the price showing when your bet is confirmed, and later moves don't touch it. Markets settle on the official result declared by the relevant controlling body, and if that result is later amended — a protest upheld, a disqualification, a corrected scorecard — settlement follows the standard practice for that market.

How the common market types settle.

Head-to-head and match result — paid on the team or competitor officially recorded as the winner. Where a market says whether extra time, golden point or a super over counts, that wording governs.
Line, handicap and margin — the published handicap is applied to the final official score; land exactly on a whole-number line and your stake comes back (a push).
Totals (over/under) — settled on the official aggregate for the stated period; exact landings on a whole number are refunded.
Futures and outrights — settled when the competition finishes; once the market is live, a competitor pulling out doesn't entitle a refund unless the market terms say otherwise.
Multis — every leg has to win; a voided leg drops out and the multi recalculates across what's left.

By sport and discipline. Racing win and place markets settle on the official placings declared by the principal racing authority, including any amendment on protest; a scratched runner is refunded, and place terms follow the declared field size. Team sports (AFL, NRL, football, cricket) settle on the official competition result for the listed fixture. If a fixture is abandoned, postponed or moved outside its listed day, bets are voided and stakes returned — unless the game completes within the window the market states, or the market has already been unconditionally decided.

Payments

What we take. Eligible Visa and Mastercard debit cards, PayID, BPAY, Apple Pay and Google Pay. No consumer credit cards and no cryptocurrency — that's the law (Interactive Gambling Amendment (Credit and Other Measures) Act 2023), and frankly we agree with it.

How long things take. Card, PayID, Apple Pay and Google Pay deposits land straight away; BPAY takes one to two business days. Withdrawals go back to your verified source of funds, and banks usually complete settlement within one to three business days after we process it.

Limits. One deposit limit covers every channel. You can set it, lower it, raise it or remove it with the deposit-limit tool — decreases apply immediately, increases wait out a seven-day cool-off. Per-method minimums and maximums show at the point of payment, and a minimum withdrawal amount applies.

Identity checks (KYC). We verify who you are under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth) before your first bet is accepted. Withdrawals are only ever paid to the verified account holder, and larger transactions can attract source-of-funds or affordability questions before they're released.

Closing your account

How. Email support@goldenbet888.co from the address on your account and ask. If you're closing the account to stop gambling, please also look at self-exclusion and BetStop — closure alone doesn't stop another operator signing you up tomorrow.

Your balance. Open bets either settle or are voided under the rules above. Once verification is complete and open positions are resolved, whatever's withdrawable goes back to your verified source of funds. We can't pay out an unverified account — again, that's the law, not a choice.

Dormant accounts. No log-in, deposit, bet or withdrawal for an extended period and the account is treated as dormant. We write to the address on file before doing anything, and any remaining funds are handled under the applicable unclaimed-money rules. Reactivation just takes a request and a fresh identity check.

Responsible wagering tools

You can set, lower, raise or remove a deposit limit whenever you like. Decreases are immediate. Increases sit through a seven-day cool-off, after which we ask you to re-confirm the figure before it applies — removal counts as an increase and follows the same path. Once a year we'll nudge you to look at your limit again.

Activity statements. Every account holder gets a statement of deposits, bets, wins, losses and net position — the first one 14 days after opening, then monthly. All of them stay downloadable inside the account. Read them; they don't lie.
